ministries

View Church in Boiling Springs, S.C reaches out to our community by identifying and ministering to people in the community who are not actively involved in a church.

Our goal is to make every person feel welcome and to try to meet their spiritual needs. Here are some of the events and ministries at View Church.

preschool

Welcome to Vaikai Village

Our wish is for your child to have an experience as special as they are.

The preschool wing is located on the hallway behind the Worship Center. When you enter the preschool wing, you will be greeted at the designated check-in/out desk where you will drop off your child. If you are a first time Guest, we will ask a few details about your child to ensure they have the best time possible with us, while you worship. If it is not your first time, you will walk in and we will print a sticker with your child’s name, your name, and any allergies or medical needs he/she might have. Your child will then be escorted to an age appropriate room. When you are ready to pick up your child, you will enter the check-in/out room and we will bring your child to you.

We understand there are many allergies and we are equipped to handle most situations. We do not allow outside food or drinks that may cause a child to have an allergic reaction. Because of this, we provide apple juice, animal crackers and Goldfish crackers for the children.

We also offer a private nursing mother’s station located in the check-in/out room. Here you will find a comfortable chair, a changing table and a TV so you can still be a part of the activities in the Worship Center.

We prefer that each child be in one of the areas that is designed for them. If you choose to keep your child with you in Adult Worship, please be courteous of those around you. If your child becomes fussy, step out and watch the service in the foyer. For your convenience, we have the service on closed circuit TV.

There is a baby-changing station in the restroom located in the foyer of the Worship Center.

view kids

Welcome to View Kids! We strongly believe that families are the core of spiritual development. Our staff and incredible volunteers seek to come alongside parents to influence the faith of the next generation. We do this by creating weekly encounters that help kids experience God in real and tangible ways. These experiences are meant to reinforce the faith values taught at home. Nothing gives us greater joy than seeing kids grow to love and follow Jesus and seeing how this transforms families forever.

The Summit

(5K – 6th Grade)
Our Wednesday evening program meets from 6:00-7:30 in the Link Building. Whether it’s singing and dancing, listening to storytellers bring the Bible to life, or learning to apply God’s Word to their lives, children love every minute at Kids View! We consider it an honor to partner with families on this journey towards an intimate relationship with Jesus!

The Mountain

(5K – 3rd Grade)
On Sunday mornings, your child will be encouraged to grow spiritually by a fun and passionate team, as well as build lasting friendships with other kids their own age. Each age group has their own room on the children’s hallway in the Link building. We meet at 10:00 each Sunday morning in the Link Building.

Kid’s View

(5K – 3rd Grade)
Our children’s church is where kids begin with high-energy games and worship. We creatively incorporate storytelling, media, and group activities for a fun and memorable Sunday morning where we lift up Jesus! We offer two services, 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., each Sunday  in the Fellowship Building.

connection groups

What is a Connection Group?

Connection Groups meet each week. Each group is typically made up of people who have similar interests. Each group will have between 4 and 14 people. The group will meet for a time of study of the Bible, usually around 90 minutes. Groups meet on Sunday or at various other times during the week. The groups meet in a home or will meet on Sunday night at View Church. The group may decide to share in the preparation and bringing of a meal each week. Several groups will opt to have a dessert and coffee only. As you can see, there is great flexibility in a Connection Group.

How do I get involved?

If you are interested in joining a connection group, see Tammy in the Connecting Point room in the foyer or contact Tyler Estes (tylerestesmvbc@gmail.com).

celebrate recovery

A Christ Centered Recovery Program

EVERY FRIDAY – 6 PM

You might think Celebrate Recovery is only for people with drug or alcohol concerns. Although we deal with those, we address many other issues. If you have a hurt, habit, or hang-up, we can help you through fellowship and celebrating God’s healing power that has been proven in our lives by using the Bible-based 12 steps and 8 principles. This experience changes us. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program, we discover our personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ.

Baseball all-star Cory Brand knows what it takes to win in the big leagues. But off the field, with memories of his past haunting him, his life is spiraling out of control.

Hoping to save her client’s career and reputation after a DUI and a team suspension, Cory’s agent sends him back to the small town where he grew up. Forced to coach the local youth baseball team and spend eight weeks in the only recovery program in town, Cory can”t wait to return to his old life as quickly as possible.

As his young players help him re-experience the joy of the game, Cory realizes his need for freedom from his past and hope for his future … and win back the love he left behind. With this unexpected second chance, Cory finds himself on a powerful journey of transformation and redemption.

Based on thousands of true stories, HOME RUN is a powerful reminder that with God, it’s never too late …freedom is possible.
Join us as Celebrate Recovery presents Home Run, a movie about forgiveness and FREEDOM!

music ministry

wednesdays at 7pm

Our Sunday services bring all generations together for a time of exuberant praise and worship unto God! We have contemporary, cross-cultural music that moves people to express their love to God and touch His heart. Through our worship we create a atmosphere in which God can speak to His people and refresh them.

Our Team

View Church’s music ministry team is dedicated to glorifying God in our music and allowing the Holy Spirit to move freely in our congregation as we worship Him in spirit and in truth. We believe that praise and worship expressed through joyful song can move God to break-through and bring Heaven to this Earth. We love to celebrate our Savior and we encourage you to join us.

Want to Join the Team?

We love to worship and encourage you to join us!

To accomplish diversity and musical excellence, we are always looking for skilled vocalists and musicians to be part of our growing ministry.
If you are interested, please contact our worship leader, Zach Rogers.

missions

Acts 1:8 Commitment – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (NIV)

Our Call to Missions is Strong

Our commitment to missions shows in that more than 20 percent of our budget is dedicated to missions efforts here and throughout the world.

We pray for the work of Christ throughout the world and intercede for unreached peoples. We strive to send laborers into His harvest. We pray for the protection of missionaries, third-world pastors and churches. We pray for the people of God who are suffering persecution.

International (Ends of The Earth)

We support “Chosen Children Ministries” and send teams of laborers to work in the barrio Square 91 in Nicaragua to evangelize, feed and build.
We support “Go Build Disciples” and send teams to Ecuador to work in the orphanages and alongside Pastor Miranda & Rita.
We support an orphange in Cambodia alongside Pastor Samuel.

And we support and partner with The Basha’s as they work in Southeast Asia.

Nicaragua Missions Trip – 2018 – For Families

Whether you can build, help in VBS or feed hungry people, you can be a part of this mission trip that will change you and your family! Spend a week in beautiful Nicaragua (July 6 through July 13, 2018) as we minister and work in the Square 91 barrio. Parents and their children can travel and minister together!
