1-12-2026 | Worship flows from Surrender

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God…. this is your true and proper worship" – Romans 12:1

“Worship isn’t only what we sing…. it’s what we surrender....”

In Romans 12:1.... God invites us into a kind of worship that reaches beyond a Sunday moment and becomes a Monday lifestyle.... True worship is offering ourselves to Him.... not in pieces.... but fully…. our bodies.... our choices.... our attitudes.... our time.... our desires.

A sacrifice is something placed on the altar.... The difference is that God calls us a living sacrifice.... That means we keep waking up.... facing real pressures.... real temptations.... real responsibilities…. and we still choose.... again and again.... “Lord.... You can have me....” ---->>> This is worship…. not just lifting hands.... but laying down control.... Not just speaking love.... but obeying love....

Paul says we do this “in view of God’s mercy....”…. In other words.... surrender isn’t payment…. it’s response.... We don’t offer ourselves to earn God’s favor.... we offer ourselves because we already have it.... Mercy has already met us.... Grace has already covered us.... So worship becomes the grateful “yes” of a heart that remembers what God has done.

Today.... consider what it looks like to place your everyday life on God’s altar…. your words.... your schedule.... your relationships.... your private thought-life.... your ambitions....

Ask the Lord to make your life “holy and pleasing....” not by perfection.... but by consecration.

Every time you choose Him over self.... you are worshiping.... Every time you forgive.... serve.... resist sin.... or trust Him in uncertainty.... you are offering a living sacrifice.
