“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” - Colossians 3:2

Focus is powerful... What fills our gaze shapes what fills our hearts… That’s why worry feels so heavy… it keeps our eyes locked on what we can’t control…. Pain does the same... So does pressure, deadlines, conflict and uncertainty…. Before long.. our world shrinks to the size of our problem.
Worship expands it again…
Worship doesn’t deny reality- it reorders it… When we worship.. we are not pretending the storm isn’t real… we are remembering the One who walks on water…
Worship is the holy act of turning our attention from what’s loud to what’s true.. from what’s temporary to what’s eternal.. from what we feel to who God is.
That shift matters because fear grows in the dark of self-focus… But as our gaze lifts.. fear loses its grip... Anxiety doesn’t disappear because circumstances instantly change.. it weakens because our center changes….
And the more clearly we see Him.. the less final our problems feel. In worship.. we stop asking… “How will I make it? and start confessing... “God has carried me before.” We stop saying… “I’m surrounded,” … and start declaring… “I’m held.” We stop measuring God by our situation and start measuring our situation by our God.
- What’s missing to what’s promised
- What’s breaking to what God is building
- What we can’t handle to what God already handled
“Sometimes the greatest miracle in worship isn’t the situation changing… it’s the heart changing…. Peace walks in.. Perspective returns.. Hope rises.. Strength renews.. And we remember… we are not alone.. and this is not the end.
So today… worship on purpose…. Not because you feel strong.. but because God is faithful… Not because everything makes sense.. but because God is still God…. Let worship become your “turning of the head”… the moment you choose to look again at the Lord.”
