1-14-2026 | Worship Draws Us Into God’s Presence
“Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.” - (Psalm 22:3)
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” - (James 4:8)
“There’s a difference between knowing about God and being aware of God….”
Worship is one of the ways God lovingly bridges that gap… not because He is distant.. but because our hearts are often noisy.. crowded… and pulled in a hundred directions….
Worship isn’t a performance to impress Him…. It’s a doorway that re-centers us on who He is.
When you worship.. you’re not trying to “get God to show up.”…. He’s already present….
Worship draws you into His presence… into attention.. surrender.. and trust.
It turns your face toward Him… It quiets your fears… It softens your resistance….
It lifts your eyes from what’s pressing you to the One who holds you…
- Anxiety says.. “This is too big.”
- Worship says.. “God is bigger.”
- Shame says.. “You don’t belong.”
- Worship says, “I’ve been welcomed by grace.”
- Weariness says, “You have nothing left.”
- Worship says, “The Lord is my strength.”
In worship.. you don’t deny your situation.. you put it in the right frame… under the Lordship and goodness of God.
“God, You are worthy, and I am Yours.”… And in that Holy exchange.. you find what you were made for… Communion with Him.”
