(John 4:23–24) Jesus says the Father is seeking worshipers… people who don’t just perform religious actions.. but who respond to God with real love from the inside out.
“In spirit”.. means worship that rises from the heart… honest.. alive.. surrendered.
God is Spirit. So I don’t have to be in the “perfect” place.. mood.. or moment to worship…. I can meet Him anywhere… at a sink full of dishes.. in a car.. in a quiet room.. in a loud day… because worship is less about location and more about connection.
“In truth”.. means… Worship that lines up with who God really is.. not who I want Him to be.. and with what His Word says.
Prayer: Father… thank You that You are near and that You are seeking worshipers. I don’t want to offer You empty words or routine worship. I want my heart to be real with You…. Teach me to worship You in spirit… wake up my soul, soften what has grown hard, and bring me back to first love…. Help me worship with honesty, not pretending… with surrender, not control… with gratitude, not complaint. And teach me to worship You in truth… shape my thoughts by Your Word, correct what is out of alignment, and anchor my life in who You truly are. Remove anything in me that makes worship about me… my preferences, my image, my pride. Holy Spirit… breathe fresh life into my prayers…. Let my worship become a daily meeting place with You…. I give You my attention, my affection, and my obedience today.
In Jesus’ name…. Amen.
