1-28-2026 | Faith Requires Surrender
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart... and do not lean on your own understanding....” - (Proverbs 3:5)
“I have been crucified with Christ.... It is no longer I who live... but Christ who lives in me....” - (Galatians 2:20)
Most of us like the idea of Faith... until Faith asks for the keys....
We’re comfortable trusting God when the plan makes sense... when the timeline feels reasonable... when we can keep a hand on the steering wheel....
But real faith doesn’t just believe God can.... Real faith yields to God’s will....
“Faith isn’t merely agreement in the mind... it’s surrender in the heart.”
Surrender is where faith becomes tangible....
- It’s when you stop demanding full explanations and start offering full obedience....
- It’s when you say... “Lord... I don’t need to understand everything to follow You....”
That’s not weakness.... That’s maturity.... Because….
“The deepest form of trust is not… “I see how this will work....” but… “I know Who is leading me....”
When we release what we’re clenching... we make room for what God is forming....
“Sometimes God doesn’t change the circumstance right away... He changes the one who’s walking through it.... Faith doesn’t always remove the fire... it often teaches you that Jesus is in it with you.”
If you’re wrestling today... you’re not failing... you’re being invited.... God isn’t asking you to pretend it doesn’t hurt.... He’s asking you to stop carrying what was never meant to be carried alone....
Faith requires surrender because God won’t compete with control.... Not because He wants to take from you... but because He wants to give you something better than what you can manage... His peace... His wisdom... His way....
“Surrender isn’t giving up.... Surrender is giving over.”
