1-29-2026 | Faith Acts on God’s Promises

Published January 29, 2026

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for...the conviction of things not seen” - (Hebrews 11:1)

God’s promises are not decorations for our encouragement… they are foundations for our obedience....

“Faith doesn’t only agree with what God said... faith moves because God said it.”

It’s possible to love the idea of God’s promises and still live like they’re uncertain.

It’s possible to love the idea of God’s promises and still live like they’re uncertain.

We can quote Scripture... highlight verses...and sing about miracles...yet postpone action until we feel safer...stronger...or more sure.

“Biblical faith isn’t waiting for perfect conditions… it’s stepping forward because God’s Word is already solid.”

Think about Peter on the water....

The promise wasn’t...“You won’t feel wind”....The promise was...“Come”....And as long as Peter acted on Jesus’ word...he walked where he had no natural ability to stand....

”Faith acts on what God has spoken...not on what the situation is shouting.” “Faith becomes real when what God has spoken becomes your surrender.”

  • When He says...“I will provide”... faith stops panicking and starts obeying....
  • When He says...“I am with you”... faith stops shrinking back and starts showing up....
  • When He says...“I will give you wisdom”... faith stops spiraling and starts praying… then making the right decisions…

God has given us “very great and precious promises” - (2 Peter 1:4).   But promises must be received...and receiving often looks like action....Not reckless action… obedient action....Not emotion-driven action… but Word-driven action....

“Faith isn’t pretending storms don’t exist… it’s refusing to let storms outrank God’s voice.”

So what promise are you holding today?....

The question isn’t only.. “Do you believe it?”....

The question is.. “What step would I take if I truly believed God will do what He said?”....

“Faith acts… not because it has all the answers... but because it knows the One who does.”
