1-8-26 | Aiming to Be a Faithful Servant
Jesus… the Savior of the world… exemplified true greatness through His life of service. He washed His disciples' feet… healed the sick… and ultimately gave His life as a ransom for many.
Jesus Himself said, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 )
“Follow Me,” Jesus said… He didn’t invite us into perfection… but into pursuit. A faith disciple/follower is someone who keeps aiming their life toward Christ even when they feel weak.. distracted.. or unsure.
Discipleship isn’t about how fast you grow… it’s about who you keep walking with consistently and intentionally…. Some days your faith will feel strong…. Other days it will feel like a whisper…. But the aim stays the same… to trust Jesus.. obey what He has said.. and keep your heart turned toward Him.
Small choices matter…
Opening the Word when you’d rather scroll.. Praying when you’d rather worry.. Forgiving when you’d rather prove a point….
A disciple doesn’t wait to “feel spiritual.”…. A disciple moves toward God because He’s already moving toward them.
As followers of Christ… our greatest aspiration should be to hear Jesus say… "Well done, my good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23)
This commendation signifies that we have lived a life of faithfulness… humility… and service… reflecting the character of our Lord…. It’s not about achieving worldly success or accolades… but about faithfully serving God and others with love and integrity.
Today… don’t measure your faith by your emotions…. Measure it by your direction…. Keep aiming at Jesus… step by step… and let Him shape you into someone who looks like Him.
