3-13-2026 | Expectation Honors God

Published March 13, 2026

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” - (Ephesians 3:20).

“Without faith it is impossible to please God....” (Hebrews 11:6).

Expectation is not hype.... It’s honor.... When we live with godly expectation.... we’re quietly saying.... “God.... I believe You are who You say You are”.

Expectation isn’t pretending everything is perfect.... it’s choosing to treat God’s promises as more real than the pressure around you.

Low expectation can sound like humility.... but sometimes it’s simply disappointment dressed up in “being realistic....” And while God is gentle with our wounds.... He also invites us higher.... to hope again.... to ask again.... to trust again....

Faith expects.... because faith knows....

It knows God’s character....

It knows His track record....

It knows that even when the timing is unclear.... the Father is still faithful....

Expectation honors God because it agrees with heaven’s view of Him.... able.... willing.... wise.... and good.

So... What Does Expectation Looks Like?

·       Expectation prays specifically instead of vaguely.

·       Expectation obeys promptly because it believes God will meet it there.

·       Expectation prepares…. it makes room for what it’s asking for.

·       Expectation praises early…. not because the answer has arrived.... but because God hasn’t changed.

But... expectation must stay anchored.... We don’t put expectation in outcomes the way we imagine them…. we put expectation in God Himself.

Sometimes He answers differently.... Sometimes He delays to develop us.... Sometimes He does something deeper than what we requested.... Yet expectation still honors Him because it says.... “I trust Your heart even when I don’t understand Your hand....”

Today.... take one area you’ve “stopped believing for”….  and pray this honestly….

“Lord.... I give You my disappointment.... Heal me.... And teach me to expect You again…. your way.... your time....”
