3-17-2026 | Humility Reflects the Character of Christ

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble...” - (James 4:6)

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me... for I am gentle and humble in heart” - (Matthew 11:29).

Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself… it’s thinking of yourself less... and thinking of Christ more.... It’s a quiet strength that refuses to fight for the spotlight... because it knows God sees in secret.... Humility is the posture that says... “Lord... You are God... and I am not.... Lead me...”

When we look at Jesus... we see humility in full color.... Though He is the King of glory... He chose the low road... born in a manger... living as a servant... touching lepers... welcoming children... washing feet... and ultimately laying down His life.

Jesus didn’t cling to status…. He poured Himself out in love.... His humility wasn’t weakness... it was holy confidence in the Father.

“Humility reflects Christ because it mirrors His heart.... The humble person doesn’t have to win every argument... prove every point... or protect their image.... They can admit when they’re wrong.... They can listen without interrupting.... They can celebrate someone else’s success without jealousy.... They can serve without needing applause.... Humility makes room for God to be seen... because it stops demanding that we be the center.”

And Scripture is clear... humility invites God’s favor.... Not because humility earns grace... but because pride blocks it....

Pride says... “I’ve got this”

Pride resists correction... humility welcomes it....

Pride pushes God away... humility draws near....

“God pours grace where there is room to receive it… into open hands... not clenched fists.”

If you want more of God’s presence... more of His guidance... more of His peace... start here... with a yielded heart.... Humility is the doorway to spiritual strength.... It positions you under God’s mighty hand... where He can lift you up at the right time....

Today... ask yourself this….

Where have I been trying to protect my pride instead of honoring Christ?

Where do I need to apologize... forgive... or listen?

What would it look like to serve quietly... joyfully... and sincerely?

“The more we walk in humility... the more our lives begin to look like Jesus…. and the more we experience the grace that God loves to give.”
