3-2-2026 | Tithing Is an Act of Worship

“Honor the LORD with your wealth... with the first-fruits of all your crops” - Proverbs 3:9…

“For where your treasure is... there your heart will be also” - Matthew 6:21.

“Tithing isn’t primarily a financial transaction… it’s a spiritual declaration.”

When we tithe... we’re not just “giving money to church”...

We’re worshiping God with what He’s already entrusted to us...

It’s a way of saying... “Lord... You are my source... You are my provider... You are first”

”Worship is more than singing... it’s surrender... It’s offering... It’s yielding our lives to God in practical ways.”

In the Old Testament... God asked His people for the “first-fruits” … the first and best portion…. not because He needed it... but because their hearts needed the alignment...

“Giving God first place is worship... It breaks the grip of fear and greed and re-centers our trust where it belongs... not in what we can hold... but in the One who holds us.”

Tithing also reshapes our hearts...

Jesus connected our treasure to our hearts for a reason...

What we prioritize with our resources reveals what we revere with our souls...

“When we tithe consistently... even when it’s inconvenient... we’re choosing faith over anxiety... obedience over control... and devotion over comfort.”

And here’s the beautiful part... God meets worship with grace...

The tithe isn’t a payment to earn favor…. it’s a response to His goodness...

“We don’t give to be loved... we give because we are loved.”

Our giving becomes a living “thank You” to the Father who never fails to provide...

So if you’ve struggled with tithing... don’t start with pressure… start with worship... Don’t ask only... “Can I afford it?” Ask... “What does my heart believe about God?” … Because tithing is ultimately a heart posture that says... “Jesus... You’re worthy…. of my songs... my time... my plans... and yes... my finances”.
