3-20-2026 | Humility Is the Path to Greatness
“Not so with you.... Instead.... whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant....” - Mark 10:43
In the world’s system.... greatness usually means being noticed.... being served.... being lifted higher than others.
But Jesus looks His disciples in the eye and flips the whole ladder upside down.... “Not so with you.”
In other words.... “My kingdom doesn’t work like that.”
If you want to be great....
Don’t climb…. kneel....
Don’t demand… serve....
Don’t grasp… give....
“Humility is not thinking less of yourself.... it’s thinking of yourself less.... It’s choosing love over ego.... obedience over applause.... and faithfulness over fame.
Humility is the quiet strength that doesn’t need to win every argument.... doesn’t need credit for every good thing.... and doesn’t need the last word to feel secure.
Humility says.... “God is enough.... even when nobody claps.”
Jesus didn’t teach humility from a distance…. He lived it.... The King of glory wrapped a towel around His waist.... The One who deserved a throne chose a cross.... And that is the Kingdom pattern.... the way down is the way up.
When you choose humility.... you are choosing the lifestyle of Christ.... And Christlike humility always leads somewhere…. into deeper character.... stronger influence.... purer motives.... and ultimately.... true greatness.... the kind that carries God’s presence and blesses people…
Questions to ask yourself….
· Where have I been tempted to chase recognition instead of serving quietly?
· Is there someone I can honor.... help.... or listen to today without needing anything in return?
· What would “greatness” look like if it was measured by love?
“In God’s kingdom.... the servant becomes the leader.... the last becomes first.... and the unseen becomes honored by Heaven.”
