“How... then... can they call on the one they have not believed in?... And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?...  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” - Romans 10:14

“The Spirit told Philip... ‘Go to that chariot and stay near it...’” - Acts 8:29

God loves to move in power…. but very often... He chooses to move through people who are willing to step forward.... That step is frequently as simple as an invitation…. a word... an offer... a question... a welcome.... An invitation is not pressure.... It’s not manipulation.... It’s a Spirit-led door opening that says...

“Come closer... There’s room for you...”

Romans 10:14 lays out a chain reaction… believing depends on hearing... and hearing depends on someone being willing to speak.... Many breakthroughs don’t start with a miracle… they start with a moment of courage where someone says... “Can I share something with you?” or “Would you like prayer?” or “Would you come with me?

“That’s invitation.”

Acts 8 shows how this works in real time....

Philip isn’t freelancing….  he’s listening....

The Holy Spirit gives him a specific nudge…. “Go to that chariot and stay near it...”

Philip’s obedience positions him near a searching soul... and that moment becomes a divine appointment....

The Ethiopian doesn’t get transformed because Philip had the perfect plan…. he gets helped because Philip showed up where the Spirit sent him.... And once Philip is close enough... conversation becomes possible.... Questions get asked.... Scripture gets explained.... Jesus gets revealed.

“Here’s the beautiful truth…. invitation opens the door for God to move... but the Holy Spirit leads the invitation.... We don’t have to force outcomes.... We don’t have to “make something happen”….  We simply stay responsive…. go near the chariot... start the conversation... offer the prayer... extend the welcome…. and then trust that God is already working on the other side of our yes.”
