(Malachi 3:10)

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

God’s invitation in Malachi 3...10 is both tender and bold... “Bring” and “see....” He doesn’t demand from a distance; He draws His people close and calls them to trust Him with what feels most tangible…. our resources... our security... our plans.

The verse isn’t mainly about money…. it’s about who we believe God is.... When we hold tightly to what we have... we’re often trying to protect ourselves from uncertainty.... But God promises that obedience opens space for His provision... and that His care is not scarce or stingy… He can pour out blessing “without room to store it”.

This is also a verse about the heart.... “Bring the whole tithe”… speaks of wholeness… honesty... surrender... and alignment.... God is not trying to take… He is trying to free His people from fear and teach them to live from trust... not anxiety.... The “storehouse” reminds us that generosity is meant to strengthen worship and community... not just individual comfort.... As we give... we practice saying... “Lord... You are my source....”… And as we test Him… reverently... obediently…. we learn He is faithful.

Prayer:

Father... You are the Lord Almighty... and You are good.... Today I bring You my trust... my fears... and my resources.... Forgive me for the times I’ve clung to what I have as if it were my security.... Teach me to honor You with the “whole” of my life… not just parts I’m comfortable surrendering.

Help me to obey You with joy and integrity.... Make my heart generous... not pressured…. faithful... not fearful.... Provide what I need... and let Your blessing flow through me to strengthen Your house and bless others.... Open my eyes to see Your faithfulness... and give me courage to “test” You in obedience... believing Your promises are true....

You are my source... my provider... and my Father.... I trust You.... In Jesus’ name... Amen.
