4-1-2026 | Invitation can be Simple
“Come to Me... all who labor and are heavy laden... and I will give you rest....” (Matthew 11:28)
“Here I am!... I stand at the door and knock....” - (Revelation 3:20)
Some of the holiest moments begin with something small....
Not a speech....
Not a dramatic turnaround....
Just a simple invitation....
Jesus doesn’t start by demanding you fix yourself.... He starts by calling you to Himself.... Come.... Not after you feel stronger.... Not when you’ve got your emotions under control.... Not once you’ve proven you’re consistent.... Just simply... Come....
That’s what makes His invitation so powerful…. it meets you where you actually are.
· If you’re tired... you’re invited….
· If you’re ashamed... you’re invited....
· If you’re confused... you’re invited....
· If you’re doing “fine” on the outside but breaking down on the inside... you’re invited....
“Jesus isn’t waiting to be impressed…. He’s waiting to be welcomed… And the door He knocks on isn’t the door of your perfect life.... It’s the door of your real life.”
Sometimes we think faith has to be complicated to be sincere....
You can whisper a prayer that barely has words.... You can offer Jesus the mess you don’t know how to explain.... You can simply say... “Lord... I’m here....”
But love doesn’t need complexity… it needs honesty.
That’s enough to begin.... Because the gospel isn’t God shouting from far away.... It’s God drawing near… and saying... “Come closer”
