4-14-2026 | Building Others Up

Ephesians 4:29 says…

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

This verse emphasizes the power of our words and the impact they can have on those around us…. As followers of Christ… we are called to use our words to encourage.. uplift.. and strengthen others.

Building others up means being intentional about speaking life into their situations…. It's about recognizing the potential in others… offering genuine encouragement… and being a source of support.

When we choose to build others up… we reflect the love and grace of Christ… creating an environment where people feel valued.. seen.. and loved.

One of the best ways to love our neighbors as ourselves is to seek ways to encourage.. strengthen.. and guide them….

“Building up others doesn’t come from an attitude of superiority or a holier-than-thou outlook…. Rather… building up others comes from the humility of remembering how much others have done for us…. There is no better way to build up others than to point them to Jesus Christ… the master builder.”
