"He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." - John 15:2

Before God does a great work through you… He does a deep work in you.

We often ask God to use us... to move mountains through us... to change lives... to influence people... to bring revival.

But God knows that what’s done through us will only be as strong as what’s done within us…. Before God builds on us... He digs deep within us.

That’s why the waiting seasons feel so long…. That’s why there’s pruning.. stretching.. and refining…. It’s not punishment... it’s preparation.

God is forming character where we want quick results…. He’s forging humility when we crave recognition…. He’s cultivating endurance when we want shortcuts…. The depth of your roots determines the strength of your fruit.

Moses spent 40 years in the desert before leading Israel out of Egypt….  Joseph endured betrayal.. slavery.. and prison before God elevated him to a place of influence…. Even Jesus.. though sinless.. spent 30 years in quiet obedience before three years of powerful ministry.

You may feel hidden right no….. Overlooked…. Forgotten.... But that’s where deep work happens...in secret…. Don’t despise the seasons of silence or shaping…. The deeper God works in you… the more powerfully He can work through you.

Questions to ask yourself..

Am I more focused on being used by God than being shaped by God?

What is God trying to deepen in my life right now???? trust, patience, humility, surrender?

Do I see pruning as punishment… or as preparation?
