4-24-2026 | Determined to Follow Christ No Matter the Cost

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” - 2 Timothy 3:12

No matter how much good you do... there will always be voices of opposition.  Jesus Himself...who healed the sick, fed the hungry, and raised the dead... was accused of being possessed, a blasphemer, and even a lawbreaker...

If the Son of God faced such slander... should we be surprised when the enemy tries to cast a shadow over our good works?

The truth is... doing good doesn’t exempt us from attack... and in fact it often invites it... The enemy cannot stand the light of Christ shining through us... so he tries to distort it... hoping to discourage or discredit us.

***But here’s the hope***

While the enemy may try to shine a bad light on us... the true Light of the world...Jesus... can never be extinguished!!!

That is why we must settle it in our hearts and minds.... I will follow Christ without hesitation and without compromise...Whether praised or misunderstood, whether honored or rejected.... our path must remain the same...

“Obedience to Jesus is the only thing that matters...”

“The applause of heaven matters more than the approval of man.”

When Daniel prayed despite the king’s decree... his enemies sought to destroy him... When Paul preached... he was beaten, imprisoned, and mocked... Yet they continued, because their eyes were fixed not on earthly reward... but on eternal glory.

Today... let us make that same determination.... No matter the cost, no matter the misunderstanding, no matter the schemes of the enemy...

For in the end... it is not about the opinions of men... but the faithfulness of our Savior who one day will say... “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
