“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

Worry can be exhausting…. It creeps in slowly... through a bill that’s overdue.. a diagnosis we didn’t expect.. or the fear of what tomorrow might bring.

At first… it feels like being responsible… like preparing for the worst…. But over time… worry drains our joy.. clouds our thinking.. and robs us of rest.

Do you ever get tired of carrying that weight?

God never designed us to bear it alone….

In 1 Peter 5:7… He invites us...gently but firmly to cast our anxiety onto Him…. Not hide it.. not manage it better.. but cast it…. Leave it to Jesus to use a fishing term... you have got to love it…

That word cast implies a release… a letting go…. It means we trust that His shoulders are broader than ours… His wisdom deeper… and His care more perfect.

“Worry tells us we’re in control…. Faith tells us God is.”

When we surrender our worries to Him… we’re not being careless... we’re being faithful.

“God, I trust You with what I can’t control.”

We’re saying…

And in that trust… we find peace... not because our situation has changed… but because our hearts have.

What are you carrying today that God is asking you to release?
