4-6-2026 | What Jesus Did for Us Goes Way Beyond the Cross

“So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus"... - Ephesians 2:7
When we think of Jesus’ sacrifice… our minds often go straight to the Cross…. And rightly so... the Cross is where the Son of God bore the weight of our sin.. paid the penalty we deserved.. and declared.. “It is finished.” But if we stop there… we miss the full depth of what He has done... and is still doing...for us.
The Cross was the doorway....
But beyond it is a Kingdom… a relationship… a restoration…. The Cross made peace between God and humanity…. But Jesus didn’t just die to forgive you... He rose to give you life, to make new… and to walk with you daily through the power of His Spirit.
He didn’t stop at saving you... He adopted you. Through Christ… we are now called sons and daughters of God (Romans 8:15-17). That means you’re not just forgiven... you’re family…. He brought you home.. clothed you in righteousness.. and gave you access to every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. (Ephesians 1:3).
He ascended to represent you...
Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for you (Romans 8:34). Every moment... He is advocating on your behalf... not just as Savior, but as High Priest, Friend, and King.
He sent His Spirit to dwell in you...
The Holy Spirit, the very presence of God, lives in you... empowering, guiding, comforting, and transforming you day by day. You are never alone. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is now working in you (Ephesians 1:19-20).
And He’s not finished yet...
Jesus promised He will come again. One day... every tear will be wiped away... every injustice will be set right... and those in Christ will reign with Him forever.
***What He started on the Cross will be completed in glory.***
Are you only living in the shadow of the Cross… or are you walking in the fullness of resurrection life?
Let your heart be lifted today... not only because of what Jesus did... but because of what He continues to do.
