5-12-2026 | Finding Hope in Persecution
1 Peter 3:13-14 says...
"Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it."
In these verses… Peter reminds us of the paradox of the Christian life…
While we are called to pursue good and live righteously… we may still face suffering and opposition.
It’s easy to feel discouraged when our efforts to do good are met with negativity or even hostility…. However… Peter encourages us to maintain a perspective rooted in hope.
Think about the early Christians who received this letter…. They lived in a society that often rejected their values and beliefs... much like ours….
Despite this... Peter urges them to remain steadfast in their commitment to goodness…. He reassures them that their suffering is not in vain…
God sees their struggles and will reward their faithfulness.
When you face challenges for doing what is right… remember that you are not alone.
God is aware of your situation… and He promises to reward those who endure.
Embrace the call to do good… even when it feels risky.
“Let your actions reflect Christ’s love… and trust that your perseverance will bear fruit.”
