5-13-2026 | Pressing On Toward the Goal
Philippians 3:13-14 says...
"No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
In Philippians 3:13-14… the Apostle Paul encourages us to adopt a forward-looking perspective in our spiritual journey…. He acknowledges that he hasn’t attained perfection… yet he doesn't dwell on past mistakes or accomplishments….
Instead… he emphasizes the importance of focusing on what lies ahead.
Our lives are often filled with memories… some joyous.. some painful….
It’s easy to become trapped by our past… whether it’s regrets or achievements that lead us to complacency…. Paul reminds us that while our past shapes us… it shouldn’t define us.
“God calls us to look forward… to embrace the future He has prepared for us.”
Take a moment today to reflect on what may be holding you back.
Is there a mistake you need to let go of… or perhaps a success that has made you comfortable?
“Commit to forgetting the past and pressing on…. Set your eyes on the heavenly prize… your relationship with Christ.. and the purpose He has for you.”
