"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17

When we accept Christ… we become new creations.   The old self… burdened by sin and separation… is replaced by a renewed spirit… a spirit that reflects the character of Jesus.

In Galatians 2:20… Paul writes… "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."… This is the essence of our new identity… it is not merely an improvement of the old but a complete transformation.

One thing my parents always told me is… “The older you get the more you think about Heaven”

I would always just smile… because at that time I thought they were crazy…. but now I realize that I was the one who was crazy..

It was a very true statement…. Now please don't misunderstand me… I absolutely love my life here… and I pray that I have many more years…

But the truth is this… There are things that you start thinking about that will be eternal.

One question that I taught to several groups in “Sharing Jesus without Fear” was..

If you were standing before God and He asked you… "Why should I let you into My Heaven?"….

What would your answer be?

While the answer to that question is certainly the most important… I recently started thinking about it another way...

Many people make the statement… “Well if I'm saved… my sins are forgiven... so I'm good!!!”

And… while that is true to an extent… we will give an account for what we did for His Kingdom...

So… the thought I had that really shook me to the core was this...

What if God simply walked up to us and looked right into our eyes… and WHAT IF HE SAID in that moment… “I JUST WANTED TO SEE HOW MUCH OF MY SON I SEE IN YOU”

How would you answer that question… based on where you are right now?

How much of Jesus does God see in you?
