6-27 & 28-2026 | Prayer and Meditation

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.”-1 John 2:15 

“My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.”-John 17:15–16 

Prayer:  

Father… I come before You with a humble heart… asking You to draw me closer to Yourself…. Your Word says not to love the world or the things in the world… because when my heart is consumed with worldly desires… it pulls me away from Your love…. Lord… cleanse my heart from anything that competes with You…. Remove every craving for things that are temporary… empty… and fading…. Teach me to love what You love and to desire what is holy… pure… and eternal…. I thank You that though I live in this world… I do not belong to it…. Just as Jesus prayed… I ask that You would protect me from the evil one…. Guard my mind… my heart… and my spirit from every trap of the enemy…. Keep me from deception… temptation… and anything that would try to separate me from Your will…. Let Your truth sanctify me and keep me grounded in who I am in Christ…. Help me to walk through this world without becoming attached to its ways…. Let my life reflect that I belong to You…. Strengthen me to stand firm when the pressures of this world try to pull me in the wrong direction…. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I can live with wisdom… discernment… and faithfulness…. May my heart be fully Yours…. Let my love for You be greater than my love for comfort… possessions… approval… or anything this world offers…. Set my eyes on heaven and teach me to live as one who has been chosen… protected… and set apart for Your glory.
