6-3-2026 | Understanding God’s Will and Calling

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6
In our journey of faith… one question often comes up… "What is God's will for my life?"
This question reflects a deep desire to align our lives with a higher purpose and to understand the unique calling God has placed on each of us.
God’s will is not a one-size-fits-all blueprint…. Each of us is created uniquely… with our own gifts… experiences… and passions.
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are "God's handiwork… created in Christ Jesus to do good works… which God prepared in advance for us to do."…. What we often fail to understand is that while our individual paths may differ… God's will for all of us has already been revealed….
“Knowing Him… loving others… and sharing the Gospel.”
This is the foundation of God's will for each of our lives and without focusing on that calling first... I would say it will be quite difficult to find His Will for our individual paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly…. Trust requires surrendering our own understanding and expectations…. It can be tempting to map out our lives based on societal standards or personal ambitions… but God calls us to a different approach.
“When we submit our plans to Him… we discover a life that is richer and more fulfilling than we could have imagined.”
Understanding God’s will often involves a journey rather than a destination…. It requires prayer.. reflection.. and being open to the Holy Spirit’s leading.
God’s calling can change with different seasons of life…. What feels like His will in one phase may shift as we grow and evolve…. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that "there is a time for everything."…. Embracing each season with an open heart allows us to remain flexible and responsive to God’s direction… trusting that He knows what is best for us.
