6-4-2026 | When I Think I've Gone Too Far… Here You Are Again
"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there." - Psalm 139:7-8
There are times in our life when shame whispers louder than grace... We mess up again... say the wrong thing… fall into the same temptation… turn our back in fear or pride... and suddenly the weight of it all convinces us we've gone too far this time.... Surely God has given up on me…. Surely I've crossed the line.
*** But then… there He is again.***
- Not with condemnation... but with mercy.
- Not shaking His head in disappointment... but reaching out with love that never let go in the first place.
- God’s faithfulness is not built on our ability to stay perfect.
- His love is not fragile… nor is His grace conditional.
- He doesn’t pace the floor waiting to see if we’re worthy.... He pursues us when we feel most unworthy.
Jonah ran... David fell... Peter denied... And yet... God met them all... not in their strength... but in their breaking…. That’s the pattern of grace…. We wander.. we fail.. we fall... but He finds us.. restores us.. and walks with us again.
The enemy wants us to believe we’ve disqualified ourselves…. BUT JESUS… already qualified us at the cross…. His blood speaks and restores far better than our guilt…. His presence finds us in the far country... the dark pit... and even in the quiet tears.
So when you think you’ve gone too far… remember... He’s still right here.
