6-9-2026 | He Gave Me Grace When I Deserved Death

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this... While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 

  There’s a weight that settles over us when we truly understand the depth of our sin…. Every harsh word… every selfish choice… every moment we turned away from God... it all adds up to a debt we could never repay.  

According to justice… we stood guilty.   According to righteousness… we deserved death.  

But God... full of mercy… full of love... chose another way… 

He gave us grace. 

“Grace is more than a pardon...it’s a gift… A Full Exchange!!!... It is the unearned… unexplainable favor of God that reaches into our darkness and pulls us into light.” 

  Jesus didn’t wait for us to clean ourselves up or earn His kindness…. He met us at our worst and offered us His best... His life… in exchange for our brokenness. 

Imagine standing in a courtroom… guilty beyond excuse…. The verdict is clear…. The sentence is death…. But just as the gavel is about to fall… the Judge steps down from the bench… removes His robe… and says.. “I’ll take the punishment instead.”  

That is the gospel… That is grace… THAT IS JESUS!!! 

Remember... 

- When shame tries to whisper that you’re too far gone… remember this... Jesus saw it all… and still chose the cross.  

- When you feel unworthy of love... remember He loved you while you were still in your sin.  

- Grace isn’t about how good you’ve been... it’s about how good He is.
