7-10-2026 | At the Feet of Jesus

“But one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:42 

Before Christ truly changes us… success often looks like gaining more… more money.. more recognition.. more influence.. more comfort. 

The world teaches us to keep climbing… to keep reaching… to keep building our own name…. It tells us that the highest goal is to stand above others and possess as much as possible. 

But when Jesus transforms a life… everything changes. 

“Our definition of success is no longer centered on what we can collect.. control..  or accomplish…. Instead.. success becomes surrender…. It becomes humility…. It becomes discovering that the greatest place we could ever be is not on a throne of our own making… but at the feet of Jesus.” 

At His feet…  

Pride falls apart.  

Ambition is purified.  

Our need to prove ourselves fades in the light of His presence.  

What once seemed important begins to lose its shine….  

“The applause of people cannot compare to the peace found in sitting near the Savior…. The trophies of this world are nothing beside the joy of knowing Him.” 

Think of Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet while Martha was distracted by many things….  Mary chose what was better… not because serving was wrong… but because she understood that being with Jesus is greater than being celebrated by people…  

“At His feet.. we learn what truly matters…. At His feet.. we are reminded that intimacy with Christ is worth more than all the success the world can offer.” 

The changed life does not ask… “How high can I climb?” It asks… “How close can I get to Jesus?”  

“Real greatness is found in nearness to Him…. Real wealth is found in His presence…. Real success is found in loving.. obeying.. and worshiping the One who gave everything for us.” 

Today… let the Lord reshape your heart…. Let Him redefine what winning looks like…. Because the highest place a transformed soul can reach is still low enough to kneel… right at the feet of Jesus.
