7-15-2026 | Bethlehem changes Everything
“Bethlehem” sounds so small…. Out-of-the-way…. Background scenery for the “real” action….
But in Scripture... small places are where God loves to turn the whole world upside down…
Let’s walk slowly into Bethlehem together and see how it really does change everything…..
"Bethlehem shows us God’s plan was never random…"
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” - Micah 5:2
Hundreds of years before Jesus was born… God spoke it… He didn’t just say.. “A Savior will come someday.. somewhere.”… He named a tiny town on the map….
Bethlehem wasn’t strategic... glamorous... or powerful… It was “small among the clans.”… Overlooked… Forgettable... Yet God singled it out as the birthplace of the One “from ancient times.”… “The Savior of the World”…
Bethlehem reminds you that…
God is not improvising your life.
He is not “making the best of it” when things feel random.
He can weave eternal purpose through places and seasons that feel small.. quiet.. or even pointless.
If God can thread the needle of prophecy… arranging empires... decrees..l and a census so that a pregnant young woman ends up in Bethlehem right on time… He can handle the details of your story too.
Here is the Question to ponder…
Where in your life right now do you feel “random”… unnoticed.. or stuck in the small?…
What if that “Bethlehem place” is exactly where God intends to meet you?
If you and I were writing the script… we would’ve chosen Jerusalem… or maybe Rome.. or at least something Facebook or Social Media worthy…. God instead chose the smell of hay and the sound of animals.
Bethlehem tells you…
God is not embarrassed by your humble beginnings.
He is not intimidated by how “ordinary” your story feels.
He often does His deepest work in hidden places long before anyone else sees it.
Are you measuring your life by visibility or by faithfulness?…
What “small yes” is God asking of you in this season?
