7-20-2026 | But God
Ephesians 2:4-5 says…. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
There are moments when life feels like a long hallway of doors you can’t open….
You knock on one… no reply.
You try another… locked.
You press your ear to the wood… hoping for a clue.. a voice.. a sign that someone is on the other side…. And eventually… after all the searching.. striving.. and second-guessing.. you realize something holy…
“In the end… we will discover there is no other answer… but God.”
Just… God.
We spend so much of our lives looking for “the answer” like it’s a formula… if we can just solve it.. control it.. explain it.. then we’ll be safe.
But God often allows the questions to linger long enough to reveal what we truly trust…. Sometimes the unanswered parts aren’t punishments… they’re invitations.
“God is not avoiding you… He’s drawing you deeper.”
Because… there’s a kind of faith that only grows when you don’t get the explanation you wanted… but you get His presence.
- When the doctor’s words don’t make sense… and the numbers don’t add up… but God.
- When you did everything right and still lost it… but God.
- When the door shut and you can’t see another way… but God.
- When you’re tired of trying to be strong, tired of holding it together… but God.
Scripture doesn’t deny the pain… It doesn’t pretend the loss didn’t happen…. It simply declares that pain doesn’t get the final word.
“God doesn’t always give answers first…. He gives Himself first.”
Sometimes He gives clarity… Sometimes He gives change… Sometimes He gives healing… Sometimes He gives endurance… But always… always… He gives grace.
And in the end… that’s what the soul has been hunting for the whole time… not information… but God.
So if you’re standing in a place where you don’t know what to do… don’t know what’s next… don’t know how it turns out… take heart…. You are not stuck…. You are being led to the deepest conclusion faith can reach…
“There is no other answer… but You.”
