Acts 20:35 says And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Sunday morning comes…. The lights come up… the music swells… and the room fills with people…. Some walk in with expectation… others with heaviness… some with joy… and some simply out of habit….

But beneath all of that theres a deeper question God often asks His people….

"Are you here to consume… or to contribute?”

Modern culture trains us to evaluate everything by what we get…

  • Did I like the sermon?

  • How was the worship?

  • Did the service meet my needs?

But the Kingdom operates differently….

Jesus never approached the Father asking What will I get out of this?”

Instead.. He stepped into every moment with a heart ready to pour out… serving.. giving.. blessing.. loving.

The early church wasnt marked by consumers sitting in rows… it was marked by givers gathering in unity…. They shared meals.. prayed together.. encouraged one another.. met needs.. and carried each others burdens…. They understood that church wasnt something done for them… church was something God did through them.

And He still desires to do that today….

Jesus showed ultimate generosity… not just financially… but with His time… His attention… His compassion… His presence… His obedience… and ultimately His life.

“To follow Christ means to walk in the same spirit of generosity that He did.”

You may not feel like you have much to give… but the miracle of the Kingdom is this…

“God multiplies whatever youre willing to offer… Hes not looking for perfection… only obedience, surrender and participation.”
