Many people agree with God’s Word…. They agree that forgiveness matters.. that prayer is important.. that faith pleases God.. that love is the right way.. and that obedience honors Him…. We go to church and sing songs of praise and worship and even nod at the preachers sermon….
But…
“Agreement alone does not produce fruit….
Agreement stays in the mind….
Application shows up in the life.”
It is possible to nod and agree with truth without ever being changed by it….
James wrote… Don’t just listen to God’s word… you Must Do what it says!!!!
Agreement can make us feel spiritual because we recognize truth when we hear it….
But truth that is only admired and never obeyed becomes self-deception….
It is one thing to say… “Yes.. I believe God wants me to forgive.”… It is another thing to actually release the offense.
It is one thing to agree that God is our provider…. It is another thing to trust Him when money is tight.
It is one thing to agree that we should love our enemies…. It is another thing to respond with grace when wounded.
“Stability comes when truth is practiced.”
And…
“Application is where the Word moves from information to transformation.”
“The enemy is unbothered by believers who merely agree with Scripture…. He trembles when believers apply it.”
God is not calling us to be impressed by His Word…. He is calling us to live by it.
