7-9-2026 | Are You Truly Allowing Christ to Shape You?
“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” - 2 Corinthians 3:18
“It’s one thing to believe in Christ…it’s quiet another to be formed by Him.”
Many of us invite Jesus into our lives but keep certain doors closed…. We welcome His forgiveness.. His peace.. and His promises.. yet hesitate when He begins to reshape our habits.. our priorities.. our reactions.. and our desires.
“Transformation requires surrender… and surrender is often where faith becomes uncomfortable.”
Christ’s goal is not merely to improve us… but to transform us…. He is not trying to make us slightly better versions of who we already are… He is forming us into who we were always meant to be in Him.
This shaping process is ongoing and intentional… like a potter working clay... applying pressure... removing imperfections... and molding with care….
The clay’s role is not to resist.. but to remain soft in the potter’s hands.
Ask yourself today…
Am I allowing Christ to challenge my thinking.. or only affirm it?
Am I open to correction.. or do I avoid conviction?
Do I seek His will daily.. or only when I need His help?
“Spiritual growth doesn’t happen by accident…. It happens when we consistently yield… when we choose obedience over comfort.. humility over pride.. and trust over control.”
The Holy Spirit shapes us through Scripture.. prayer.. trials.. and even waiting seasons…. None of these are wasted when surrendered to Him.
If you feel stretched.. refined.. or unsettled… take heart…. These may be signs that Christ is actively shaping you.
