8-17-2026 | God Is Looking for Kingdom Servants

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”     (Mark 10:43) 

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) 

“Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord…”          (Colossians 3:23) 

There’s a loud voice in our world that says… “Be seen…. Be known…. Be followed.”…. It celebrates platforms… applause… and popularity…. But the Kingdom of God doesn’t run on celebrity… it runs on servanthood. 

“God is not scanning the earth for the most impressive image…. He is searching for the most available heart…. He’s not moved by a résumé… He’s drawn to obedience…. He’s not impressed by a name everyone recognizes… He’s pleased by a life that quietly says…“Yes... Lord.”” 

When God chose David… He didn’t pick the tall… strong… obvious candidate…. He chose a shepherd… someone faithful in the unseen place…. When Jesus came… He didn’t recruit a team of famous influencers…. He called fishermen… tax collectors… and ordinary people… then turned their surrender into extraordinary impact. 

Here’s the truth… celebrity wants attention… servanthood carries authority. 

Celebrity asks….“Do you see me?” 

Servanthood asks…. “How can I help?” 

Celebrity aims for spotlight…. 

Servanthood aims for fruit…. 

And it’s often in the hidden places that God does His deepest work in us…. He forms character when nobody claps…. He shapes humility when nobody credits…. He builds endurance when nobody notices…. The Kingdom is advanced by people who are willing to wash feet, carry burdens, pray in secret, forgive quickly, show up consistently, and stay faithful even when it feels small. 

“God doesn’t need you to be famous to use you powerfully…. He just needs you to be faithful, surrendered and obedient.” 

So if you’ve felt overlooked… discouraged… or “too ordinary”… take heart…. God specializes in the unnoticed…. In His hands… a servant becomes a vessel… and a vessel becomes a movement. 

Remember… 

“You are not called to chase fame… You are called to carry faithfulness….You don’t need a platform… You need to have obedience.”
