8-27-2026 | Heaven’s King Chose Humility

“Though He was in the form of God… He emptied Himself.. taking the form of a servant… He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death…even death on a cross. - (Philippians 2:6–8) 

There is no sacrifice like the one Jesus made…  

But… Christ did not come to earth as an emergency plan…. He came as love in motion…. He gave up the glory of heaven... not by losing His divinity... but by laying aside His rights… choosing a manger instead of a throne... a towel instead of a crown... and a cross instead of comfort….  

The One who spoke galaxies into existence stepped into human weakness….  

The One worshiped by angels walked among sinners…  

And the One who deserved everything chose humility so we could receive everything we could never earn. 

“That is the heart of the gospel… Jesus went down so we could be lifted up…. He stepped into our mess to make a way out…. He entered our darkness to lead us into light…. He took our place so we could take His…. Accepted...  forgiven… and made new.” 

When you feel like God is distant… remember this…  

He crossed the greatest distance imaginable… from heaven’s fullness to earth’s brokenness…. just to reach you…. Humility was His pathway.. and love was His reason. 

And His humility doesn’t just save us… it shapes us...  

If the King of Glory could serve... then no act of obedience is too small….  

If Jesus could surrender comfort to obey the Father... then we can trust God even when it costs us pride… control… or convenience. 

So Today…  

Don’t just admire Christ’s humility… receive it as proof of His love and respond to it with surrender.
