"So why do you keep calling me 'Lord, Lord!' when you don't do what I say? - Luke 6:46

There is a dangerous difference between wanting Gods help and surrendering to Gods rule….

Many people want God for leverage… but not for Lordship….

  • They want His power… but not His process.

  • They want His hand… but not His heart.

  • They want Him to open doors... fix problems... silence enemies... bless plans... and increase influence… yet they resist yielding their will... their habits and their hearts fully to Him.

Using God as leverage means treating Him like a tool to get what we want…. We pray when we need favor…. We call on Him when we need breakthrough…. We quote Scripture when we want victory….

But once the pressure lifts… obedience fades….

That is not relationship… that is convenience.

Jesus never asked to be used…. He asked to be followed.

Lordship means He is not just the One who rescues me… but the One who rules me…. He is not only Savior in my crisis… but Master over my choices.

It is easy to say God is good” when His goodness benefits us…. It is deeper and more difficult to say God is Lord” when obedience costs us something.

But… “You cannot crown Him Lord in word and deny Him access in practice.

God will not be manipulated... managed... or reduced to a means of personal gain….

He is holy.

He is King.

He is worthy of more than occasional dependence.

He deserves full surrender.

Do not just reach for God when you need leverage…. Bow before Him because He is Lord.
