9-12 & 9-13-2026 | Prayer and Meditation

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” - Matthew 16:24

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.” - Galatians 2:20 

Total surrender to Christ is not weakness… it is the greatest act of trust a soul can make…. Surrender means laying down our will… our plans… our fears… our pride… and even our understanding… and placing everything into the hands of Jesus. 

Many people want Christ as Savior… but struggle to let Him be Lord…. We want peace without yielding control…. We want blessing without obedience…. Yet true freedom comes only when we completely belong to Him. 

Jesus never asked for part of our hearts…. He asked for all of us. 

Surrender is daily…. Sometimes hourly…. It is waking up and saying…. 
“Lord… my life is Yours today…. Lead me where You want me to go…. Speak what You want me to say…. Remove what should not remain in me.” 

The surrendered life is not always easy… but it is always safe in the hands of God. 

Christ surrendered Himself fully for us on the cross…. Now He calls us to surrender fully to Him…. Not because He wants to take from us… but because He wants to transform us. 

Meditation: 

• Is there any area of my life I have not fully surrendered to Christ?  

• Am I trusting God only when it is comfortable?  

• What fear is keeping me from complete obedience?  

• What would my life look like if Jesus truly had full control?  

Prayer: 

Father… I come before You with an open heart…. I confess that there are times when I hold tightly to my own plans… my own desires… and my own understanding…. Forgive me for resisting Your will…. Today… I choose surrender…. I lay my life at Your feet…. Take every thought… every dream… every fear… every relationship… every weakness… and every part of my future…. Let Your will be done in me…. Teach me to trust You when I cannot see the way ahead…. Help me to obey even when it is difficult…. Remove pride…  selfishness… and anything in my heart that keeps me from fully following You…. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and create in me a heart that delights in Your presence…. Let my life reflect Your love… Your holiness… and Your truth…. I surrender my past to Your mercy… my present to Your guidance… and my future to Your hands…. Not my will… Lord… but Yours be done…. In the name of Jesus Christ… Amen.
