9-18-2026 | Judgement vs. Redemption
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. - Romans 8:1-2
There are moments when the weight of our failures feels louder than the voice of God’s grace…. We remember what we did wrong... where we fell short... and how often we’ve needed mercy…. The enemy loves to convince us that judgment is the final word over our lives… that our sins... mistakes… and weakness define us…
But…
“For the believer… judgment is not the end of the story….” “Redemption is.”
Yes… sin is serious…. God is holy… and His justice is real.
But the beauty of the gospel is that Jesus stepped into our place and carried the judgment we deserved….
At the cross… justice and mercy met…. What should have condemned us was laid on Christ… and what now covers us is His righteousness…. Because of Jesus… the child of God does not live under the shadow of final condemnation… but under the light of redeemed identity.
Again… Romans 8:1 reminds us… “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
That means our story is no longer headed toward destruction… but restoration…. We are not merely people who have been spared… we are people who have been bought back... made new… and called beloved.
“God does not just rescue us from judgment… He brings us into relationship... healing… and hope.”
Redemption means God is still writing….
Your failures are not the final chapter.
Your shame is not the conclusion.
Your brokenness is not the whole narrative.
In Christ…
What was lost is being restored.
What was dead is being revived.
What was stained is being washed clean.
“The same God who judges righteously is the same God who redeems fully.”
So when guilt tries to speak louder than grace… Remember this….
