May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. - Matthew 6:10

Now that you are a Christian… the question is no longer… “Will I go to Heaven?” … Because through Jesus Christ… that question has already been settled.

If you have placed your faith in Him…  repented of your sins… and received His gift of salvation… Heaven is not a distant wish… it is your promised home…. Jesus paid for it with His blood… sealed it with His resurrection… and secured it by His grace.

So now the deeper question becomes…

How much of Heaven will you allow to come to you?

Not in the sense that we become perfect on earth… Not in the sense that trials disappear… Not in the sense that pain no longer exists... But in the sense that the rule... presence…  peace… purity... and power of Heaven begin to invade your everyday life.

Jesus taught us to pray… “Thy kingdom come… Thy will be done in earth... as it is in heaven.”

“Jesus was showing us that while Heaven is our future destination… it is also meant to be our present influence.”

“Some believers are only waiting to go to Heaven… while God is longing for Heaven to be seen in them right now.”

The sad reality is that many saved people still live with closed hearts… They are on their way to Heaven… but they resist Heaven’s work in their mind... speech... habits... priorities... witness… sharing the Good News with others and relationships.

But…

“God did not save you merely to relocate you later…. He saved you to transform you now.”

So today… ask yourself…

  • Am I just assured of Heaven someday? … Or am I allowing Heaven to shape me today?

  • Am I holding on to attitudes... habits... wounds... or distractions that keep His kingdom from fully reigning in me?

The Holy Spirit is always leading us higher…. Always deeper…. Always closer to the heart of God.

“You may not control when you leave this earth…. But you can surrender to God in such a way that the atmosphere of Heaven begins to rest on your life even now.”

So again… the question is not…“Will you go to Heaven?”…If you belong to Jesus… that answer is yes.

The question is…

“How much of Heaven will you allow to come to you?”
