1-7-26 | An Undiscipled Church Is No Threat to Satan

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” - Matthew 28:19

It’s possible for a church to be full of people... programs... and praise... but empty of power. When a church stops making disciples... it stops reproducing the life of Christ.

The Great Commission was not… “Go and make converts”… nor was it “Go and gather crowds.”. Jesus’ command was to make disciples... followers who learn... grow… obey… and then go.

Satan does not fear a crowd of churchgoers.... He fears a committed disciple.... He fears the man or woman who daily takes up their cross… who studies the Word… who prays in secret... and who lives boldly for Christ.

"A church that entertains but doesn’t equip… that inspires but doesn’t instruct… is no real threat to the kingdom of darkness."

When believers remain spiritual infants…. dependent on others for faith... easily swayed by emotion… or distracted by the world... the enemy rests easy. But when believers are trained… tested... and transformed... the gates of hell start to tremble.

Here is another way to look at it... Imagine a battalion that gathers every week to sing their anthem but never trains for battle... They might look unified... but when the war comes... they scatter. That’s what happens to a church without discipleship... it sings loudly on Sunday but falls silent in the fight when they walk out the door.

Ask yourself this today.... Am I a spectator or a disciple?... Am I content to listen... or am I learning to lead?

Ask yourself this today.... Am I a spectator or a disciple?... Am I content to listen... or am I learning to lead?

The measure of a church’s strength is not its size but its depth... how well its members know Jesus... follow His teachings... and serve others in love.

“Discipleship is not optional... it’s essential.... When the church returns to its mission of making disciples... the world sees the difference... and Satan loses his grip.”
