1-9-2026 | Are You “All In” with God

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” - Matthew 22:37
When it comes to following Jesus… there’s no middle ground... He never called anyone to be a spectator.... Yet... if we’re honest.... many of us can slip into treating our faith like a sporting event…. We sit in the stands.. cheer when things go well.. complain when they don’t.. and leave unchanged once the game is over.
But God’s invitation is not for spectatorship... it’s for participation.
Jesus doesn’t ask for half our hearts... He asks for all of it.
We often hear the term "All In" when it comes to our favorite sports teams or something we are committing to do.... But we also most often forget that there is a cost that comes along with being "All In"…. Being “All In” means surrender... It means saying... “God, You get my time.. my priorities.. my finances.. my decisions.. my future... all of me... Nothing held back!!!!”. It’s not easy… The rich young ruler walked away from Jesus because he wasn’t willing to let go of his possessions... (Mark 10:17–22). He wanted to be near Jesus... but not all in with Jesus....
“Spectators want the benefits of the game without the sweat and sacrifice.”
Paul wrote.... “I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8)... What the world sees as sacrifice is actually freedom... freedom from sin.. fear.. and empty pursuits.... There is no greater joy than knowing you are fully His and that He is fully for you.
Knowing this means... I cant ride the fence... I must ask myself…
• Am I treating my relationship with God like a “spectator sport,” only showing up on Sundays or in crises? • What area of my life am I holding back from Him? • What would it look like for me to be "All In" today.... in my work.. my home.. my relationships?
“Being "All In" is not an hour on Sunday morning for us to check off our list... it is a Consistent and Surrendered Pursuit of Jesus Christ... Through Prayer… Reading His Word… and Involving Him in every part of our lives.”
